PENGARUH MODEL SMALL SIDED GAME TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PASSING BOLA BASKET PADA SISWA SMAN 15 SURABAYA

Pembelajaran bola basket konvensional seringkali kurang efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan passing siswa secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji pengaruh dan perbedaan peningkatan keterampilan passing bola basket antara siswa yang menggunakan model small sided game dan metode konvensional. Penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen semu ini melibatkan 68 siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes AAHPERD Basketball Test pada tahap awal dan akhir, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank dan Mann-Whitney U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kedua kelompok. Namun, kelompok eksperimen mencatatkan peningkatan rata-rata yang lebih besar, yakni 8,21 poin, dibandingkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 7,18 poin. Uji Mann-Whitney U mengonfirmasi adanya perbedaan peningkatan yang signifikan (p=0,025) dengan mean rank lebih tinggi pada kelompok eksperimen. Disimpulkan bahwa model small sided game lebih efektif daripada metode konvensional dalam mengembangkan keterampilan passing, karena model ini menyediakan frekuensi sentuhan bola yang lebih tinggi dan konteks pengambilan keputusan yang lebih autentik selama pembelajaran.
